Finally Italy is open for business and we will be able to visit Italy again!

The travel bans to Italy have been lifted so as of June 3rd many will be able to travel once more to Italy without any form of quarantine.

The Italian Decree states that from June 3rd the travellers from the following countries will be able to travel to Italy without being subjected to 14 days quarantine:

- European Countries – therefore, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cipro, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Hungary.

- Countries part of the Schengen agreement: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

- United Kingdom and Ireland.

- Andorra and Monaco.

However, travelers that will arrive to Italy from the above mentioned countries but travelling originally from other countries, will still need to isolate for 14 days (eg. Travellers from America stopping in France, they will still need to be in quarantine).

The quarantine won’t be required if they have been in one of the above countries for 14 days already.

However, please note that each country will have its own regulations in terms of returning home. Eg. After returning to the UK from Italy, the UK government requires 14 days of quarantine.

What if you arrive from Canada or the US?

You will need to check with your airlines about their current status but it looks like flights from the US and Canada will return operative from June 30.

Here updates from some of the airlines:

American Airlines has suppressed direct flights to Italy from the US until August 2nd.

Emirates is due to fly again Milan-New York JFK from June 30.

Norwegian and Alitalia have flights on hold until July 1st .

However, it is possible to travel to Italy for those who have a property in Italy and can quarantine there, as well as have business to deal with.

Travellers will need to declare the reason for travelling to Italy and where they will be staying.

It looks like you can start dreaming of your dream home again....and there's no better bespoke service than with us!
