Villas Olivi – picture-postcard beauty in the province of Pisa

Villas Olivi is in the heart of the village of Lajatico – hometown of the singer Andrea Bocelli – and less than a minute’s walk from the village’s main square.

Although it is immersed in a characteristic medieval Tuscan setting, this property also boasts an olive orchard of nearly 2,000 sq m (1/2 an acre) that overlooking the fields and Volterra – giving it a real countryside feel.

Situated just 35 minutes from Pisa airport and 30 minutes’ drive from the beaches of Castiglioncello, this area is picture-postcard Tuscany at its most unspoilt and beautiful.

Villas Olivi is a charming hamlet consisting of an antique stone building currently being restored and divided into five apartments and three traditional Tuscan houses. The apartments will feature one, two or three bedrooms and boast panoramic views and a good amount of external space. The houses will have three bedrooms, two bathrooms and large gardens bordering the olive orchard.
There will also be a communal swimming pool.

Other features:

  • Option of 4%-5% rental guarantees;
  • A letting system consisting of a dedicated letting website, a professional on-site concierge service and a proper advertising campaign;
  • Pay a purchase deposit of 25% (covered by an insurance policy) and the rest at completion;
  • Internet, satellite TV and remotely controlled utilities;
  • Free olive oil from the olive orchard.

Prices:
One-bedroom apartments from around £200,000; two bedrooms from around £250,000; three-bedroom garden apartments from around £420,000; three-bedroom houses from around £460,000 (prices do not include transaction costs and tax).

The area is ideally placed to explore great Tuscan cities such as Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Siena, Motepulciano and Volterra, all less than an hour away. And just a few minutes away from Lajatico lie small gems to discover, such as Terricciola, Chianni, Peccioli, Orciatico and other small historical centres. Many boast wonderful natural spas, such as Casciana Terme, near Lajatico.

Lajatico is also home to Andrea Bocelli's Teatro del Silenzio, a landscaped open-air theatre that forms the spectacular backdrop to Andrea's annual summer festival – a mesmerizing event, whether you’re an opera buff or not.
